The Associação Comercial e Empresarial do Distrito de Aveiro (ACA) is one of the oldest associations in Portugal. It was founded on 25th November 1858 by royal decree as the Associação Comercial de Aveiro. ACA is an employers' and business association, and in 1993, it was granted the status of a Public Utility Institution. The association’s primary purpose is to represent, defend, and promote the interests of its associated companies before regional and national entities. It provides continuous support to ensure businesses can meet their needs and grow effectively. ACA’s jurisdiction covers the entire district of Aveiro, supporting companies across various sectors. Over the years, ACA has adapted to the changing economic and business landscape. In September 2022, it officially changed its name to ACA - Associação Comercial e Empresarial do Distrito de Aveiro and updated its statutes to reflect its broader scope and evolving role in the business community. Today, ACA remains committed to strengthening the local business environment, advocating for companies, and providing essential services to foster economic development in the Aveiro district while maintaining its long-standing legacy of business support.
TATICS GROUP SRL
Tatics Group is an Accredited Vocational Agency under the macro typologies of VET – CVET & AE. It designs and implements training courses for: Unemployed individuals, NEETs, disadvantaged groups, women, and youth/adults through apprenticeship programs (last year, 200 people participated in 1,500 hours of training) or via EFS funds in the Umbria and Emilia Romagna regions. SME workers (in the last three years, 1,558 beneficiaries and 260 SMEs were involved) through inter-professional funds for upskilling and reskilling. Tatics operates in Rome, Bologna, Perugia, and Terni, employing an ISO 9001-certified organizational framework. It has 10 permanent staff members and has adhered to an ethical code since 2022. Additionally, it integrates Blockchain (Blosk) for skills certification. Tatics utilizes Scuola Semplice, a platform for managing distance learning, enabling the delivery of online courses in both asynchronous and synchronous formats across eight concurrent virtual classrooms. In capacity building and empowerment, Tatics designs and implements projects that equip individuals and organizations with tools and resources to maximize their potential. It has supported the Rework project, funded by Umbria Region, which assisted NEET youth and adults in job market integration and professional accompaniment.
COMUNE DI GERACE
Gerace is a local public body and a small municipality located in the south of Italy. The municipality has a population of 2,600 inhabitants, residing both in the historical center and in the surrounding rural areas. Gerace is a small village rich in history, located in a rural district and included in the protected area of the National Park of Aspromonte (UNESCO Park). The village boasts a remarkable historical and environmental heritage, attracting numerous tourists and visitors each year. Gerace has significant experience in preserving its territory, culture, and rural richness. As a local public authority, the municipality is committed to conserving cultural heritage, improving local development, and enhancing education for both young people and adults in fields such as tourism, culture, environmental preservation, energy, and climate change. The municipality employs 30 staff members working across various sectors, including administrative and technical bureaus, waste management, external environmental services, cultural and museum services, social and inclusive services, and promotion of the territory. It aims to enhance sustainable and cultural tourism, increase tourist flows, and engage the local community in learning about cultural tourism and sustainable development by valorizing local identity. The area is within a protected zone, making environmental conservation compulsory.
GREEN & DIGITAL
Green & Digital (G&D), established in 2021, is a consultancy company that is dedicated to driving progress towards the simultaneous green and digital transitions currently taking place in society. G&D objective is to provide specialized knowledge in sustainable development, climate resilience, digitalization in public and private sector, thus implementing the AGENDA 2030, the European Green Deal and the EU’s digital Strategy. G&D works with a diverse range of stakeholders from academia, government, business, and civil society. By collaborating with these groups, Green & Digital is able to bring together the knowledge, resources, and expertise needed to help guide the transition towards a more sustainable and digitally connected future. A holistic, sustainable and just transition is only possible if we cooperate across sectors, making lifelong learning for sustainable development a reality for all. G&D offers services such as strategic consulting, policy analysis, and project management to support clients in the following areas of expertise: sustainable development, climate resilience, nature restoration and environmental protection, sustainable rural development, digital transformation, smart and sustainable urban development, circular economy, green and digital competences and responsible citizenship and civic education.
