Focus Group in Gerace: Insights Shaping DIGIHERIT’s Training Pathways
October 29th, 2025
In April, the DIGIHERIT project organised a focus group in Gerace, Italy, bringing together
local entrepreneurs, artisans and tourism professionals to discuss the challenges and
opportunities of digital transformation for heritage-based micro-businesses.
The discussion highlighted the need for accessible and practical training in digital marketing,
online presence and sustainable business development. Participants also underlined the
importance of digitalisation as a driver of resilience, innovation and community identity —
particularly for small rural destinations.
The findings collected during the session will directly inform the development of the DIGIHERIT
curriculum and the upcoming MOOC, ensuring that training content reflects real needs emerging
from local communities.
